ORTHO-K FOR KIDS
兒童角膜矯視鏡
Are your child's eyes getting worse and worse each year?
We can significantly reduce short-sightedness progression with Ortho-K vision technology.

Myopia — commonly called short-sightedness or near-sightedness — causes your child to have blurred vision in the far distance.
More difficulty seeing the board at school, the TV and other objects far away. This can affect your child's learning and participation in extracurricular activities and sports. While myopia is traditionally corrected with glasses, now there's a better way.Ortho-K sleep lenses correct your child’s vision at night in the safety of your home, so daytime glasses and contacts are not needed during school and play.
In addition, Ortho-K treatment is effective in slowing eyesight deterioration in children and teenagers with myopia. Children using Ortho-K lenses generally achieve a 50% reduction in myopia progression and some children may even stop progressing altogether. Research shows the younger the child when starting Ortho-K treatment, the better the opportunity of maintaining their myopia prescription as low as possible.
Our optometrist is highly experienced in fitting contact lenses for children, so you can be sure your child is in good hands. We take the time to guide our young patients and their parents on how to insert, remove and care for their Ortho-K lenses to ensure they have a positive experience wearing contact lenses for the first time. |
